Roasted Turnips with Balsamic Vinegar Recipe

This great side dish from Just Vegetable Recipes doesn’t require too much prep, and will go wonderfully with a variety of main dishes.


2 large turnips
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste


1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Peel turnips, then cut into 1 inch squares.

2. Whisk oil and vinegar, and toss with turnips.

3. Spread the turnips in a single layer in a roasting pan, and roast 25-30 minutes or until slightly browned and softened.
